This list of fictional animals contains fictional animals based on a biological model in literature, movies, comics, television series, and in advertising. The entries include both stylized (e.g. as a logo) and personalized (e.g. as a figure or companion) animals. However, it does not include legendary or mythological animals (see list of fictitious animals ), mascots and unspecific fable names from historical literature.
