Morrison was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

William Morrison was an inventor. He received 87 patents over the course of his life . In 1888 or 1890 he made his first automobile in Des Moines , Iowa . Others followed. The brand name was Morrison , possibly with the addition of Electric . Production ended in 1895.

All vehicles were electric cars .

The first vehicle was created with the help of the Des Moines Buggy Company . It didn't live up to expectations.

The second vehicle followed six months later. The Shaver Carriage Company was involved in the construction. It was first presented to the public on the occasion of the Seni Om Sed parade . The electric motor developed 4 hp . It was mounted below the six-seat superstructure and drove the rear axle. The batteries were under the seat. Harold Sturges bought the vehicle for $ 3,600 . He showed it at several events. He was also registered for the Chicago Times Herald Contest .
