- Handball World Championship : RTL is venturing into completely new territory by acquiring the rights to the 2009 Handball World Championship in Croatia for the first time. It is hoped that the general handball boom in Germany will be used and expanded. RTL wants to set completely new standards in handball broadcasting. For example, the games of the German national team are to take place for the first time at prime time. A shortcoming that in the past was always blamed on the public broadcasters that had previously broadcast, as they only wanted to broadcast the games in the afternoon or early evening hours and had an impact on the schedule.

- Showladen (February 4, 1991 to December 20, 1991): Teleshopping broadcast with Walter Freiwald , follow-up broadcast to the Tele-Boutique .
- Showmaster : (April 26, 1992 to mid-1992) Werner Schulze-Erdel , together with the audience, looked for a winner from a few candidates who presented their talent in several episodes, who should get a program of their own on RTL.
- SK-15 (February 16, 1993 to mid-1994): Kriminalmagazin with Arthur Brauss first , then with Hendrik Hey . - Is considered to be the successor to the Kriminalreport Deutschland ( Tele 5 ).
