List of streets and squares in Radebeul

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Radebeul's coat of arms: The grape stands for the wine and garden city

The list of streets and squares in Radebeul gives an overview of the streets and squares in the Saxon city of Radebeul . In addition to the names, the districts through which the streets run, the year of the last name dedication, the namesake and the former street names are given. In addition, the listed buildings and sights in the streets as well as the buildings there, which have been awarded a Radebeul builder award, are listed with their house numbers, as well as comments and former residents of this street.

These days street names appear only once in Radebeul. When districts were merged, the names were changed, so that there was always only one main street , for example, in a congregation that belonged together , but in earlier times there were several in the not yet unified congregations in the Lößnitz area.

The multiple appearing of the same street name in several districts means that the respective street lies in or crosses several districts. The house numbers are assigned to the location according to the respective districts. This means that the list can also be sorted according to city districts and includes all streets that are located in them. Meißner Straße, which runs through the whole of Radebeul from east to west, crosses or touches six districts in this way, depending on whether the district boundaries run across or along the street, and depending on whether the border runs in the middle of the street or on yours Rand, which means that only the adjacent properties with their street numbers belong to the other district.

Radebeul's coat of arms shows a green bunch of grapes with leaves for viticulture in the upper part, a motif that also appears in some street names in the form of Am Weingut, Weintraube, Weinberg, Vintner or Vines or as a reference to old vineyard names.
