This list includes the holders of the Medal of Merit of the State of Baden-Württemberg and - since their renaming on June 26, 2009 - the holders of the Order of Merit of the State of Baden-Württemberg . The number of living bearers of the order is limited to 1000 people. So far, the medal has been awarded a total of 1941 times (as of 2017).
