Coats of arms of the German urban and rural districts

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
  • Circles in Germany
  • This list shows and explains the coat of arms of the German city - and counties .

In the Federal Republic of Germany there are currently (November 2016) 107 independent cities (including the city-states Berlin, Hamburg and Bremen). There are also 294 counties . This includes the three municipal associations of a special kind , the Saarbrücken regional association , the Hanover region and the Aachen city region . In addition, the list includes all current license plates, including those that have been reintroduced.

Almost all of these regional authorities have their own coat of arms, which often refers to history or regional characteristics.

    Recurring elements
