The list of known Greek scholars collected those for Greek studies or for Classical Philology are habilitated with a focus on Greek studies or otherwise significant contributions to research and discuss the ancient Greek language , literature have done and culture. Representatives of classical philology, who only made a few contributions to Greek philology or, in order to meet a post-doctoral qualification, are disregarded here, as well as ancient historians and religious scholars . Mycenologists , epigraphists , papyrologists , philologists of the Septuagint , philologists of the New Testament , palaeographers , Graeco-Arabists , Byzantinists and Neo -Graecists are recorded in separate lists .
