List of Johanneskirchen in Germany
The following compilation of Johanneskirchen in Germany is a partial list of the overall overview of Johanneskirchen , as there are more than 700 such church buildings in Germany alone (as of the end of January 2016 in this list). It lists the church buildings and chapels in Germany that are available in Wikipedia with their own lemma . All churches named after a person named John were taken into account. Most often, the churches were named after John the Baptist , followed by the evangelists John and John Nepomuk . The spelling Johanniskirche is derived from the Latin genitive of the church patron ( ecclesia Ioannis "Church of John") and is included in this list equally.
This list does not include St. John's chapels in churches and St. John's churches, which are summarized in a separate overview .
