List of inventors
This is a list of inventors who have achieved some importance.
An inventor is someone who has identified a problem, solved it, and succeeded with it at least once. He doesn't have to be the first; An invention can also be made several times or be the result of continuous improvements in several steps. An invention is usually a technical device or a machine, but it can also be a process, a method or a service. Even a non-material idea, even if it was carried out later by someone else, can count as an invention. There are also inventions that were of no use or that were later discarded.
