Partin-Palmer Manufacturing Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles . The name Partin Manufacturing Company can also be found on advertisements .
Company history
The company was founded in Chicago in June 1913 . To this end, the sales company Partin Manufacturing Company and the Palmer Motor Car Company from Detroit joined forces. GH Partin and Randall A. Palmer were involved. In the same year the production of automobiles began. The brand names were initially Partin and Partin-Palmer . From 1914 only Partin-Palmer was used. There was also a connection with the American Manufacturing Company , which made the Pioneer in 1914 .
Partin and Palmer left around early 1915. In April 1915 it was announced that the Commonwealth Motors Corporation was acting as a sales agency. Production was in a work of George D. Whitcomb Company by Rochelle relocated in Illinois. The brand name Partin-Palmer was initially retained and only given up in 1917.

The Partin model 45 was only available in 1913. Its four-cylinder engine developed 45 hp . The chassis had a 292 cm wheelbase . The structure was an open touring car with space for six people.
The other 1913 model was the Partin-Palmer Model 38 . Its four-cylinder 38 hp engine came from the Mason-Neilan Regulator Company . The wheelbase and body shape were identical.
In 1914 only the 38 model was in the range.
In 1915 this model was still offered unchanged. A smaller car was added with the Model 20 . Its engine developed 20 hp. The wheelbase was 244 cm. It was only available as a two-seater roadster .
In 1916 there were three models to choose from. The Model 20 remained unchanged. The Model 32 had a four-cylinder Lycoming engine with 32 hp. The wheelbase measured 279 cm. The touring car had space for five people. The Model 8-45 also appeared . It had a V8 engine with 45 hp, a wheelbase of 292 cm and a six-seater touring car body.
In 1917 the range was limited to the two four-cylinder models.
