Eclipse Machine Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles from Michigan .

Company history

The company was founded in Detroit in 1906 . It mainly produced accessories for the automotive industry. At the end of 1906 the production of automobiles was announced and carried out in 1907. The brand name was Eclipse . After 1907 the track of the company is lost.

In November 1913, EJ Dunn, president of an Eclipse Machine Company, and Vincent Bendix of Bendix Corporation met during a motorcycle show in Chicago . It was about a starter . It's unclear if it was this Detroit company. There is evidence of the city of Elmira , New York State , which points to Eclipse Machine Division .

There were no affiliations with any of the other Eclipse-branded car manufacturers : Eclipse Automobile Company , Eclipse Machine Company (Ohio) , Eclipse Machine Division , Krueger Manufacturing Company, and Eclipse Motor Car Company .
