Bentel was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

George R. Bentel ran the company in Los Angeles , California . Between 1916 and 1919 he manufactured automobiles which he marketed as Bentel . He was also a dealer for brands like Jordan and Simplex .

There was no affiliation with the Theodore F. Bentel Company of Pennsylvania, which used the same brand name.

vehicles

Many vehicles were based on models from Mercer . They had a particularly sporty appearance. On running boards was often omitted. He later also used Jordan and Simplex chassis .
