Baker was an American vehicle brand.

Brand history

Hartley O. Baker founded the Baker Steam Motor Car & Manufacturing Company in Denver , Colorado in 1917 . In April 1918 he bought land for a factory in Pueblo , also in Colorado. The production of individual vehicles began. The brand name was Baker . In addition, were steam car repaired by other manufacturers. In 1922 the company was dissolved.

Baker then founded Baker Motors, Inc. in Cleveland , Ohio , later renamed Steam Appliance Corporation . Here, too, at least one vehicle was built in 1925. In 1928 this company was dissolved.

Only steam cars were on offer. The first company produced a roadster , one or more touring cars and three trucks .

The second company produced a prototype and an omnibus .
