Annesley was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Charles G. Annesley became known as the buyer of Henry Ford's first vehicle in 1896. He manufactured several automobiles in Detroit , Michigan in 1899 . The brand name was Annesley . Walter L. Marr, who later ran the Marr Autocar Company , was also involved. Annesley then worked for the Buffalo Gas Engine Company . After his return to Detroit in 1914, he again manufactured vehicles with CA Gonolay. This time it stayed with prototypes .

Seven vehicles were built in 1899. The four electric cars were powered by electric motors. Three other cars had a gasoline engine .

The vehicle from 1914 had a four-cylinder engine . The chassis had a wheelbase of 259 cm and a track width of 112 cm . The open body offered space for two people next to each other. The maximum speed was given as 80 km / h.
